What I Believe

  • I believe in the Old and New Testament, consisting of a total of 66 books, as verbally inspired by God, and infallible in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life.
  • I believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and is true God and true man.
  • I believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit–the same in substance, equal in power and glory.
  • I believe that man was created in the image of God, but fell into sin, thereby becoming totally lost and absolutely incapable of saving himself by his own works. As a result, all human beings are born with a sinful nature, incurring both physical and spiritual death.
  • I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice; and that all who receive Him as their personal Savior are justified by faith on the ground of His shed blood.
  • I believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into Heaven, and into His present life there for us as High Priest and Advocate.
  • I believe in the personal, bodily, and visible pre-millennial return to the earth of Jesus Christ to set up on the earth a kingdom in which He shall reign in righteousness and peace.
  • I believe that whosoever by faith, apart from works of any kind, receives the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior, is born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby becomes a child of God.
  • I believe that all who have truly been saved are kept eternally secure by the power of God through the new birth, the indwelling and sealing of the Holy Spirit, and can never thereafter be lost.
  • I believe that the true Church is one body composed of many members, all who are born-again believers, Jesus Christ being the Head.
  • I believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost.
